well now, my cabinets are in, and the tops are in place, but not fastened down. am going to try cutting holes inthe top of the corner sewing cabinet to make a machine well. wonder how many tops i'll have to cut to do this ...?
am looking for another door for the open shelves, and need to replace the wood shelves above with white. the walls are very uneven and will put crown molding around the backs of the top
the window hanging is my very first attempt at quilting. i cut the puffins from my puffin sweatshirt collection and stitched them to a piece of fleece and backed it with another piece of fleece, rolling the back edges to frame the front.

Beautiful sewing room, so organized!! I've got a question though on your corner sewing space. Will your knees hit the cabinet doors as you sew or is the counter top extended?

Nice and cozy. Now get some color in there and some more personal things and it will be all yours.

dkabasketlady, no, i tuck my knees into the cabinet space with the doors open. my foot pedal is in there .... just enough space to move around, etc.
there is an open space in the corner so my quilts can overhang on the backside. i'll have to remember to vacuum out that space before i do that!

Nice sewing room, but being the recycler I am....I would probably paint those shelves white to match the rest!!

am just back from kenai, on the other side of the peninsula from seward, where i picked up a door for my open shelves! rhonda from home depot GAVE me a door from their display unit. i am delighted and appreciate what home depot and their associate rhonda had done to make my craft room to look better. unfortunately, they did not have the right size white shelves to replace my wood ones. but i did get a bunch of other stuff for my room. what fun!!!
