Ok here's the honest truth. If I was standing by both quilts and someone said choose a winner and they will get 1000 fat quarters, I would of picked your hands down. Your crative flare put into the quilt improved it 100 times over. It added depth and interest. I really really like what you came up with. Great Job and beautiful quilt.(oh and of course it's jmho and the fat quarters are in the mail :-))again wonderful wonderful job improving on the pattern.

Thank you, thank you! I take pride in my inability to follow a pattern--this did not work so well when I tried to sew dresses, but for quilting, it's marvelous! We should all start calling them "suggestions"!

It is lovely. I like the striped fabric.

...but I was scratching my head, where's the cat?

d'oh!... ("of mice and men", therefore, "of cats and quilters" )
