    Pure Muscle

I just finished this last night for my brother in law's Christmas. I found a fat quarter at the Paducah Quilt show with his classic car on it, so I've spent the whole summer searching for more pieces of the discontinued fabric. I found several pieces and a couple more that complimented it, so I started putting it together last month, fussy cutting the cars. My husband says that if he doesn't like it, he'll be happy to keep it! That won't be a problem...he'll love it...he loves that old car. He's had it 40 years...it was his first car and he even built a garage just to keep it in. (it is worth a fortune)

It was a fun quilt to make!

I love this quilt. And all of my men would too. They laugh at me for collecting machines, but they collect CARS!

A lot of thought and work went into this quilt. I'm sure he'll treasure it as much as the car.

Very interesting layout that works perfectly with the car fabric. Great idea to crosshatch the quilt.

Great masculine quilt! You did a great job designing it with the white trim that sets off the other colors nicely.
I just want to spend the rest of my life laughing.

Sorry, I used every single one and fussy cut everything so there's not much left. BUT...I have this fat quarter that I didn't use that is a bit different. (it has a black background and the prints I used were all on blue backgrounds, so I left it out) If you like it, I'll trade it to you for another fat quarter. This one has a blue and white car on it as well. PM me and we'll work out the particulars. I've posted a picture of it here. If you like it, let me know.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I really liked working on this quilt. I'm sure he'll keep it in his car (a 1970 SS Chevy Chevelle, by the way) I can't wait till he opens it!

It is seldom I see any type of fabric that would be of any interest to my boys but this piece hits the mark! His man cave is all University of Michigan or it is yellow and blue and his pride and Joy is Blue with the white racing stripes. Love Love it!
