Take your husband's suggestion. Then you will have entries in two different venues. Better chance of winning.

Love the LC and love purple. So I guess you can say that I love this twice as much. Beautiful, agree with your husband. BrendaK.

How do you feel about other colors?
Hmmmm, good question. I like blue. My stash is mainly blue or purple. When I show a quilt at our guild meeting, I am sort of known as the purple lady. When I show quilts that aren't purple, I am always asked "Where is the purple?"

I recently made a red, black, and white quilt that I had to make myself finish. Before that I made an aqua and white quilt. Sewing this purple quilt together was just relaxing on the brain. Like I said, purple is my comfort color.

Ah, thanks for admiring our floor. My husband and I put that down ourselves one year ago. (We are both 70.) It was a lot of work, but we are very happy with the results. We also probably won't do that again. We had planned on doing more than the living and dining rooms, but we ran out of energy. Go figure....Of course, we also painted the walls and such, so we deserved to run out of energy.

I live in Wichita Falls, TX. Our Quilt Show is Sept. 22-23. You should come.

Well, I agree. Luckily I don't really care about winning...though I got 5 ribbons last year (blush). I sort of consider our quilt show a big Show and Tell. I entered 7 quilts last year. I was trying to "downsize" this year.
