Woody--I peeked at your directions because I was curious if you used half square triangles. You mentioned using light and dark centers, but I only see dark ones. In the photo it looks like all the log cabin halves are the same? Or is my screen color goofy? lol

Will you let us know when she gets this beauty in her hands--or around her shoulders?

OOOPS sorry about that, I had 2 versions of the quilt on EQ and looked at the one I didn't make, SORRY.

It could be made either way, I just prefered it with the darker centres on the log cabin blocks. Sorry for the confusion.
Here's is the other version, sorry about the different purple colour, I didn't scan in my fabrics, just used the generic EQ ones.

Oh gosh--never be sorry for sharing a pattern with us. And I 100% agree with you that the all dark centers is better--adds to the pop effect. It's neat that EQ had fabric so close to what you had; it looks like you scanned them! Thanks!

What a lovely story and what a lovely quilt. My prayers that this token of your generous heart will arrive to your newly discovered Aunt. Thanks for the warm smiles this morning!

I found out from her son that her favourite colour is purple so I came up with a pretty simple design in EQ. I sure hope she gets it as mail theft is common over there according to my Cousin.
