    You are in our thoughts today as is everyone who has lost a mother, including myself.

    The purse you made for your sister is lovely and she will cherish it. I had sort of the same idea: using fabric from mom's stash, I'm making table runners for each of my sisters as their birthdays come up. This way they get a gift from me and from her.

    Happy Mother's Day everyone.

    So sorry for your sudden loss, and wishing you strength to get through your grief. What a wonderful gesture on your part using some of your mother's fabric for a wonderful gift for your sister. I'm sure she will cherish it and think of both of you each time she uses it. Your love for both your mom and your sister has shown up in that beautiful bag.

    So sorry, beautiful reminder for your sister. My Mom recently fell and broke her arm she will turn 92 in July, still very sharp mentally, so my sisters and I take turns being at her home, grateful for such a blessing to serve her who served us for so long.

    Your thoughtfulness will not go unnoticed. You will be well rewarded. My mom has passed 5 years ago and she was a sewer. I have her sewing items. My husbands mom, will be 90 on the 23rd. She has dementia and broke his heart this morning to hear she tried to eat her napkin, thought it was bread. We smile and love her. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EACH OF YOU.

    Sorry for you loss. The purse is beautiful and I'm sure your sister will treasure it. I still have my mom and she is 91 years old. I had her over for dinner with my brothers and I enjoy everyday I can with her. She isn't in the best of health.

    I'm sure that was therapeutic for you to make that for your sister, and it's going to be a wonderful thing for her to receive. I also have lost my mother, but have wonderful memories to keep me going. {Hug!}

    Mother's Day is never the same without our own Mom. This year I had a new grandson but then I wished my Mom could have shared the day with him. Don't know if it will ever get easier - hang in there. The bag is a lovely gift.
