Good idea. I wouldn't have thought to make potholders for a shelter. I guess they need everything. These are really pretty.

Thanks! I like to make orphan blocks into potholders, or use them to test new blocks and techniques, or to try quilting designs before I start a new quilt. But now I have potholders running out of my ears, and all my friends and family have potholders, too.

I think the women's shelter is always needing everything because the women that come there often come with very little, and then the goal is to eventually help them set up housekeeping on their own.

This is a great idea! Good job on the potholders. I am sure the ladies will love your efforts. I have orphan blocks that would work for this. Hummm...

My DD does a lot of traveling and gets lots of toiletry supplies from overnight stays. She packages these up in ziplocs and gives to her local women's shelter.
OBTW--great potholders and so thoughtful of you.
