Incredible idea! I got hubby busy right away and did something similar in my small sewing room (he was quite happy to do it, I think he hates it when I am forever laying out/leaving blocks & threads all over the bed! So, thank you!

What a great idea. When I first saw the pic I thought maybe you did what I did yesterday. Don't have a design wall but pinned my quilt blocks to the curtains so I could stand back and take a look. Kind of goofy I know but it worked as a temporary solution.

Well, we used to pin the quilts to the living room curtains to take pictures before we put up the sheet in the sewing room. That was the only vertical surface big enough....more than once we almost pulled the curtains right down with a heavy quilt! LOL :-)

Hi, I was wondering if a pull up blind would work and put the back of a tablecloth on the front of it. This way when you needed to could just roll it up and out of the way and maybe put a valance over the top to hide the hardware. This would work on a big closet area? What do you think?

Wouldn't a large cut of batting work? I have one hanging on my wall and the fabric sticks to it just fine, no pins needed. I like the rod idea.

What a great idea! I could put it up in the window cover it with flannel and roll it up with pieces on it (maybe) I will check into that. I have NO wall space in my sewing room.

A back of a plastic table cloth that has the backing like batting would work but it seems like a lot of work to hang the rod.
