Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone! My little princess is 4. The project went faster than I imagined. I just did a bit each day...of course, I do lose all sense of time in my sewing room...maybe I DID skip sleep now that I think of it---just kidding.

It feels so good to get something done. Our routines get very hectic mid-August through October (and again in spring), so this is probably the only thing I'll complete anytime soon  . I wanted to learn applique this year, think I can do it in the next 2 weeks??? :!:

Thanks again for all the kind comments. She adores it. I haven't been able to get the nasty, worn used-to-be-soft minkee blanket away from her yet....it may just have to disappear one of these days  In the mean time, her quilt seems like it fits in just fine around here. We've been talking about her favorite dresses and playing I spy with the back, too. All around, it's a big HIT.

Now, if only I could whip out my niece's quilt that I've been working on for the past year and half!!!

Wow! Your quickie quilt is so bright, cheerful and pretty and it looks just lovely. For a whole quilt of FIRSTS, you really did an outstanding job. Good job.
