OK, let me just say you are the "Queen of Sofas and Chairs"!
This is AMAZING! Can you take a close up picture of what you did to the arms to add that black ruffle?
Also, can you explain a little bit on how you went about doing your sofa and your chair? How does one even begin to cover something like that? Do you need special tools, skills?
We have such a nice sofa and chair, however, we also have 2 cats that have done exactly what the animals that used to be in control of that chair you have did. I want new, but can't justify it because it is only 2 years old AND I would throw away my furniture before I threw away my cats.
Any assistance you could give to any of us on what you did to cover your sofa and chair would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Suzanne in VT

for the base of the couch and the arms I quilted whole cloth and then cut it out like a pattern and loosly tacked it on so that it can be removed for washing. Also I quilted the arms with polar fleece and no backing fabric. The fleece clings to the couch very well and helps it stay put!
Here is a closeup of the arm covers for the chair. Very quickly done. A 6 inch wide strip of fabric folded over and stitched like a casing. You could use elastic to gather it up, but I just used a piece of string (a piece of cut selvage edge).
