What kind of paint do you use? Is the quilt washable with the paint on it?

Well, yes and no. Washable --- yes, but.... there is a bit of stiffness to Lumiere paint that a lot of people don't care for in a quilt that will be on a bed. I use it a lot on the outside of placemats, shirts, and wall-hangings. I have not had any trouble with washing, and I don't heat set the paints. Check Dick Blick.com for lots of info about different paints. Or, when in doubt, you can always add a little fabric medium to the paint to make it permanent.

Intriguing - and beautiful! I would not have thought to paint the quilt. Very, very well done.
