I just finished this quilt. It is a maple leaf pattern but I thought it would work great as arrows. It is for my grandson, who will be 23 months at Christmas. This is his 'big boy' bed quilt. I had a lot of fun working on it and I hope he will get years and years of use from it. It's a bit big. That is my 6'1" tall husband holding it up.

Oh! I just realized I haven't put a label on yet. I guess I'm not quite done.

Thank you butterflywing and Yvonne. Now I have to finish up a couple baby quilts for my cousin who had twins, finish up one for my husbands long-time friend (has to be done in a week) and finish up one for my girlfriend. Then I can start on the one for my new grandbaby who is due in August.

Geesh, I sure wish everyone would stop getting pregnant. I have other projects I need to work on.

It's definitely big enough. I guess I was having so much fun making the blocks, which went together like a dream, that it just kept growing and growing. Seems to happen a lot to my quilts.

That is good to know! I'm half afraid he'll get to be 6 or 7 and decide it's too childish for him.

Loretta, you are now my favorite person! I'm actually in my 40's. The picture is about 8 or 9 years old now. I use that picture because of the quilt hanging behind me. I just loved that quilt, which had to have all the pieces cut out by template and each block had something like 40 pieces in it, though it's hard to tell in the photo. It took me weeks and weeks just to cut out the fabric and get ready for sewing. If my daughter hadn't picked out the pattern and knew I was making it for her, I would have kept it! :!:

That's a great quilt. He'll love it. Did I see that pattern in one of my quilting magazines?
