My Grandson has a long term relationship with Heather. They are buying a house together------------So hoping that means a wedding. Heather wants BRIGHT green (kelly green) and butterflies. I hope this works. the butterflies will be on point and the embroidered butterflies will be the centers for log cabin blocks set also on point as set together blocks. How do you think it is going to look?

If that is what she wants, I bet you will make it look great. Any other colors besides green?

My DIL came back from honeymoon in HI with all kinds of wild fabric that she wanted their quilt made from. But I put it together and it came out OK. Not what I would have picked but they liked it.

I think it is going to look beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished quilt! I am doing one similaiar but with dragonflies done in a simple square with sashing and corner stones.
Are you planning to leave the interfacing on the block after you do the embroidery? Or are these hand embroidered?

All the embroidery is done by hand. The butterfies are machine appliqued.
