Well have this ready to quilt and guess I will just stipple. Used a combinations of techniques I learned from Bonnie McCaffrey and Susan Carlson. Must say painting the face worked out much better than I anticipated since it was my first attempt.

Our guild challenge is "Anywhere I Hang My Quilt is Home".

Would appreciate any feedback - and I am certainly open to constructive criticism!

Thanks guys.

Oh, she is supposed to be away from home at college!

Very creative!! I like it a lot. I think stippling might be the best, but you might consider crosshatch to give the wall some dimension rather than random pattern.

Wow!!! How creative is that!!! It is wonderful - you can see that she is homesick and taking comfort from her quilt. I really like it.

To improve the "away at college" idea without having to tell the viewer, I would add several more books!
Love her quilt!

you certainly captured her emotions - glad she has her quilt to give her hugs.

Love the butterflies on her quilt. I agree that a few more books would give it more of a collage feeling. Beautiful work though!
