I am trying to learn how to get a new thread.

Here is a picture of a quilt I finished last night. It is going to my husbands first wife's nefew and his bride. I guess that makes me the step-aunt (???). Anyway, they are expecting in August.

That is one special baby quilt Are the Suzy Goose characters fussy cut or cross stitched? I can't tell. Either way, it is an exceptional baby quilt and I know that new baby's mom will be thrilled that you thought so much of her!

The Suzy Zoo characters are embroidered. As well as the baby's name in the top middle block - Carmen Brodie.

That is SO cute! I have those designs too, I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea for a future quilt. I love the way you laid out your quilt and the colors you chose. Great work!

Thanks and yes, use my ideas! I just used scraps from another quilt that I had done. I enlarged the Suzy Zoo designs to 120% but they were still too small for the 12" blocks so I created the crosshatch around them. I like how they turned out.
