    I too have a hard time picking a pattern for the men in my family. I love this quilt. Like the colors..You gave me food for thought.

    Beautiful quilt!

    I'm making a double sawtooth star quilt for my son in plaids and shirting prints. He requested a manly quilt, preferably in plaids. I'm making the last 5 blocks.

    I finally got around to quilting this, just took it off the frame this afternoon. Still has to be bound, but I thought I'd share some close ups of the quilting.

    With a few modifications. I added sashing and cornerstone, and the outer black and ivory border.
