Default A quilt for new grandson

Well, the baby is 2 months old but just finished this. I did several things I've never tried before: I pre washed and starched all the fabric, I did not iron the fold in the binding, used silk thread to hand sew the binding on the back, did a very little bit of FMQ without a pattern. I usually have to trace pattern on thin tear away fabric and the stitch over the paper which is what I did for most of this quilting. Maybe someday I'll be able to just do it! The pattern is "jack and Jill" from Karipatch Designs.

Adorable. You did a great job in both the color choice, the piecing and the quilting. I'm sure the little guy will love it.
