Great idea! When my dh came in from work, I showed him the pics...we have an old wooden ladder, and I "hit him up" to do something like this...of course he couldn't say no....

Love the quilts and the way they are displayed. I was just wondering if you have any protection under the quilts to keep the stain or finish on the ladder from being transferred to the quilts. Wouldn't want you to take them off at a later date and see stains. (Plastic with a piece of fabric over the plastic, then the quilts.)

LOL That is a great idea. I would be a little concerned about the sun coming in and bleaching them out.

What a totally great idea. I'm heading to the garage to see if that antique ladder is still there. My husband doesn't keep anything unless it is old (that is why he keeps me) or new. I, on the other hand, never throw anything away. Anyone need plastic coffee cans?

On the mantle are rocks we have collected on our camping / walking adventures with a hand carved [wood carving - another of my hobbies] "long billed waterbird" nesting in a group of small black rocks. It is under a picture [not seen] of an old abandoned rowboat we picked up on one of our first trips together. Thanks for your interest. Judi
