Nice quilts. Wonderful that you were able to save them.

So happy that you can salvage something beautiful from such a disaster. The quilt can be a reminder that something beautiful can come from something bad.

Stories of survival are always so inspiring and yours is no exception. Thank you for sharing and your guild for their encouragement. Sometimes all we need is that little bit of encouragement to keep going. I love your quilts.

I love that your flowers are on the diagonal and form diamonds, not circles. Very interesting and beautiful. Good for you. That took courage and fortitude.

You know when yout don't know! Hahaha!! I was just a rookie and didn't know at the time the work involved in such a project. After the deluge, I just wasn't interested in hexies anymore. Twelve years passed by and I started a quilt with hexies of 1¾ inch. Two years after I did one with 1½ inch. Now I'm doing one with ½ inch hexies using Inklingo. I guess I'm healed!! Hahahaha

The good hubby and good washing and some joy can be restored to you. Glad you found something to do with it that you will enjoy.

No pattern! Just hexies assembled randomly. I did make a pattern with EQ7 because I had only 100 white hexagons dating from 1996! So I had to make sure of the disposition so it would be balanced.
