I think you made a fine quilt here. I have made several of this easy pattern since I saw it on Simply Quilts, probably 10 years ago. It always looks as though you used more precision than you thought you were using.

Great project for sure. I like the quilt you made for the project. You are right, the colors are strong together and masculine. I hope it will be loved. It is nice to have a quick "go-to" pattern for projects like this.

Jeanne, such a beautiful and thoughtful charity quilt, especially since we are in the "giving" season. I'm sure the recipient is going to love it.

you are so right! I did ask and at this particular charity of Ro's guild in NY all 24 are men. I seem to have much more stash fabric that is suitable for females and kids because those are who I usually make quilts for. I need to remember to watch for other types of fabrics when I am browsing the sales!
