I am so sorry that a quilt this beautiful has caused you so much pain. You will surely grow to love it again when it is completed. It is a beautiful quilt!!!!

Sorry for your injury. I did the same thing on a very small square I was top quilting and ended up in great pain, that did not go away. I spent two and a half months three times a week in Physical Therapy. My neck is 75% corrected. You can bet that I do my exercises every day to build my shoulder muscles, stretch my neck carefully, and stop sewing if I feel any electric sting across my shoulders....also I work constantly on correcting my posture.I do not want neck surgery. Also when I hand knit/read I have to hold the needles away from my body so that I do not look down all the time. I do admire your quilt! Take care of your body so you can keep on creating!

Just wondering why you chose to use 2 layers of batting? Did you do it for warmth, or loft, or something else?
I tried it for the warmth. I love cotton batting, but it never seems warm enough. I made a small difference. I won't do it again.

Its awfully pretty though! Glad you are getting back to normal now. (And they would say that quilting isn't hard work...huh!)
