I believe this is called the North wind Block- the book is out of print but it can be seen at Ebay. Great job - glad you posted the picture - now I have to finish mine.

yes, I am happy that I found this forum and I appreciate everyones comments.

stopped by my quilting store today to pick up fabric for the borders and was telling the ladies how I was planning to drop the quilt pieces in the box on their store doorsteps, hoping that someone will take it and put it together. They got quite a laugh of that story.........

so, I got some fabric for the border but it is taking me a long time to do the pieced part of the border.......... I hope that I will have time to finish the quilt before spring comes and I work full time
