I'm having my aortic valve replaced next week and have been told it will be a few weeks (at least) before I'll be able to quilt again. I've finished 12 quilts so far this year, which is a record for me. I don't usually post WIP but wanted to share these with you because I don't know when I'll be able to finish them. The first two are for dear, nonquilting friends, who are always there for me and will be very helpful in the next few weeks. The last one is just the layout for my DGD's bunny quilt. Hope to at least get it sashed before the surgery. One of the hard parts of this surgery will be not seeing your beautiful quilts and clever chatter - hopefully it's only for a week or so!

Bento boxes - 2 more borders will be added

1st Carpenter's Star - next time all dark colors - needs borders

Combo applique/embroidery will have green/pink batik sashing and borders

Good luck with your surgery. I hope that you have a speedy but restful recovery.

The carpenter's star is beautiful. What size is it? I think I'm going to investigate this pattern!

Once I add the borders, it will be about 70x70. The pattern is from Calico Carriage.
