Default Three minis of three lap quilts for three "kids"

In the fall of 2011 the quilting adventure began (again) for me, this time in a class. Our assigned beginner quilt was a lap or crib size quilt. I started one for my daughter, and simultaneously began one for my second son. Then I felt that #1 son needed one, as well. From the scraps gathered I cut enough to do mini quilts of each. Finally finished the third miniature this week. (April 2013!) Here they are on our mantel...each representing a household no longer by our hearth, except on very special occasions.

Very pretty. I don't have patience to do mini's. You have done a great job on them.

Wonderful job and a great memento from the quilts you made as well.

I love these and the idea of making miniatures of your quilts to remember them.

Cheers, K

What a great idea! I love minis best - but never thought to make them of my "special" people's quilts. I am lucky to have two out of three still within 20 minutes of me. But I will remember this in the future. Thank you. And they are great!
