Most of the time I use a light gray.

i would use a cream or pale blue

Thanks everyone!! I made a few mistakes, aka hearts upside down, but they are my mistakes. lol It's for my dd, she doesn't care.
Oh,haha, I thought it was supposed to be that way so there really wasn't a direction to the quilt.lol Looks good as it is. But now that I know it....
