I don't mind at all. I started with 2 1/2" squares to make my 4-patch, but you could do a standard square in a square whatever width you want or need for the size of quilt you want to make.

I am totally in love with your quilt. Barb. Seldom do I have this much enthusiasm for a quilt someone has made, but this is really great. You did a good job on the piecing and in picking the fabrics. Thank you for the clear pictures. I like your quilting stitches, too. I just cannot tell you how wonderful your quilt is. Totally spectacular!

Is there a pattern, and where can I get it?

Cricket
Thanks you Cricket. I had no pattern, but had all these fabrics left over from other projects. Some were left over strip pieced panels, others large pieces of fabrics, and some 2 1/2 in. strips already cut. I just started with the 4-patch and added corner 1/2 square triangle for a square in a square, added another set of 1/2 sq triangles to enlarge the block. Set them in vertical rows and added a row of strip pieced 2/12 in squares on each side of the panels. I quilted each panel when it was done and then finished by sewing the panels together, bringing the backing to the fron and stitching it down to complete.
