I LOVE THE SCRAPPY QUILT WITH THE SQUARES - DID YOU USE A PATTERN - IF SO WHAT IS IT CALLED. GREAT QUILTS

Beautiful quilts! Every time I see a blue and purple quilt I remember someone once told me those two colors don't go together and think how wrong she is. They do go very well together! You do lovely work!

No pattern. I just took an old catalog and cut the pages up into 6" squares and sewed scraps to each of them. Started in the middle with one piece, then added pieces until the whole square was filled. Then I squared up each one, sandwiched each one w/batting and backing and quilted. I zigzagged them together in rows, then the rows together and sashed it with bias tape (had a lot left over from sewing over the years). I used feather stitch on sewing machine to sew that down as well as the quilted part on the scraps within each square. Hope you understand, if not I will try to explain it again. Your quilts are very pretty.You have a lot of work in them especially the hand quilting. Beautiful work.
