Never made a quilt top from sheets but I often use them for backing, especially on charity or family quilts. I like to find old flannel sheets to use, they are preshrunk and so soft.

I have never seen one done with sheets, but a girlfriend made one with recieving blankets very simular to this one, and it is the softest, sweetest blanket I have ever felt.

oh I would love to see a link or a picture of the ice cream quilts you are talking about.. those sound "yummy" :thumbup:
