Wonderful quilts and a great loving idea. I am very close to what I call my mutual mothers-in-love. (My son's and my daughter's Mothers-in-laws)

Fantastic! I love the borders with the strips of material.

I had about 12-15 shirts and I was able to make both quilts, all shirts were plaid/stripped; made the stars, square-in-a-suares and piano keys (still have little pieces I cut off the star quilt that might make a narrow pieced border...the other fabric I added, like the blue and some of the borders.

Great quilts, I'm sure they will bring tears to her eyes with love and appreciation.

The rustic stars is my favorite, I've seen it called 'floating stars' also.

So thoughtful of you to take the time to not only make one but two quilts. Lots of memories in those shirts.
