It is an original block. I call it a half nova. It is strip pieced and rotary cut. No Y-seam, no paper foundation, no little cut up squares or diamonds. Really fun and fast.

it is just so prefict. Tell me did you decide where to place each fabric or did you just randomly pick a fabric and used it on the quilt.

The sashing is made from rows of quarter square triangles. They are totally random. I just tried to not put the same fabric next to itself. The three fabrics in each of the five blocks were selected from my stash of fabrics left over from other projects. They were placed more strategically than the sashing triangles.

Amazing! I stared and stared at that block and can not for the life of me figure out how you did via strip piecing. It is beatiful. Did you use EQ or one of the other quilt design softwares to come up with it?
