It may not look like what you pictured in your head, but it is a stunning quilt from where I sit. I love the floral vines on it. I think it's just a happy surprise. The crinkly look doesn't bother me at all.

Looks beautiful!!! I like a little bit of wrinkled look in my quilts. That's why I use Warm & Natural Cotton batting and don't preshrink it.
I am putting together a rag quilt at the moment. I have it all over the floor in the living room just waiting to put the blocks together.

Great job! I like them when they wrinkle up.

I think you have done a beautiful job...I love the applique work you have incorporated. I think it is supposed to have that wrinkled look....it is what gives it charm and dimension.

Thanks again everyone, but now I have to decide should I take it to the fair? Guess I will just because it's different and most fairgoers will enjoy it and they won't know if it's the best or not.

I love it! Maybe prewashing and drying your fabs to shrink them would stop the wrinkling. But I personally like it that way.

I personally love it, but understand what you are thinking. Is there any way to attach a note for non-quilters so that they understand that when you used the batting without washing it first ( I don't know if you did or not ?) it shrank at a different rate than the fabric and that some quilters do it that way because they like the wrinkly/ antique look. You don't have to tell them you didn't want it that way  Just a thought

Maybe your dryer was too hot. Try putting it back in the dryer with a wet towel and set your dryer on cool and see if that takes some of the wrinkles out. But I think it is fine the way it is It's very pretty. I"m working on a rag fleece quilt right now, should be able to finish up the snipping tomorrow and post a pic.
