thanks Loretta. It's ok now. I live beside my mom and we have mother daughter issues that get me down. This morning started off bad but it is just one of those things. We are such opposites it makes it difficult. But things are fine now. I have spent time on the board and that always makes me feel better. Thanks!

wooo! love the x's, and as always the braids are scrumptious! I am rather fond of a more mixed color palette, so it was fun to see these. thanks, Rhonda :D

It depends on the area. In Pennsylvania they use the reds and yellows. Here in Kalona Iowa I guess they don't. The lady I sell to is not Amish but it is a tourist area that uses the quilts as it's main marketing promotion. It is the center of a large Amish community so I guess she wants my stuff to reflect that. She asked me not to use reds yellows or browns or what she terms Easter colors. So I have been using and focusing on the darker colors since 98. I like the dark darks and the light lights as it is great contrast and patterns tend to jump out at you. But I am trying to branch out more now that I am selling online and hoping to do other things as well.
