I totally get the skulls. While I don't want anything with them on it I know plenty of people who would. My DD and my DGD for example and quite a few of their friends. I see no problem with them if that is what the parents wanted. I never make pastel "baby" quilts. I always make bright colors . Also always painted my kids rooms in primary colors and Black and white .. Long before it was in style.. My kids are 42, 37,31.
You did an beautiful job and I love that you stuck with the skull theme and quilted skulls in..

I have to agree, skulls and babies just do not go together in my mind. However you did a beautiful job with the pattern, workmanship and the quilting is exceptional. I do love the color combo, it's just the skulls. As you said - to each his own.

I love it!!! I have the same skull fabric but in orange. It's a great layout and I think I might copy what you did to make myself a quilt. The quilting is so perfect with it. I know not everyone likes skulls, but I know alot of younger people(and yes, even a few 50 yr olds) that would love to wrap up in a skull quilt. You did an awesome job on the quilt and the new parents and baby are going to LOVE it.

I agree with the "no skulls" group. They've just always creeped me out, but I guess that's why there's more than 1 flavor of ice cream. Your construction and quilting are gorgeous, but I'm not crazy about new mom's fabric choices.
