My Granddaughters quilts were well loved and looked similar...we went to the lqs, picked out material including a piece like I had used in the original and made a 'new' one with the original inside. We're on the 4th covering now! You'd think at 25 and 26, they'd put them away but NO WAY! They even go took them to the hospital when their babies were born.

My son (31 in May) has one his sister made him when he was about a year old that is in almost that shape - no batting anymore, just squares of cloth in various stages of disintegration. I have three children. My two daughters are 50 and 45.

Maybe time for a new quilt? There seems to be no doubt she will cherish a replacement!

I just finished my third baby quilt, and I told the mothers that the quilts were to be used, I said this is a mud quilt. It needs spit up, mud and all things gross and to be washed a used until there is no more. This quilt fits what I was trying to convey.
