Seems I read somewhere that if you iron the newspaper first the ink won't smudge. But, having said that, my mother used newspapers all the time as a foundation to sew her blocks on and I've never seen any ink on her blocks.

Default Finished..Recycled Phone Book Pages..

the top is done. I was going to stop at the black border but one I previewed the hst's it was a done deal. They just seemed to "fit". I never would have thought it finished without them. =) Now to quilt. =)

Beautiful! Love that striking border too! I always keep a phone book handy for PP but love using the dryer sheets better as there is no tearing out to do then. And it smells better also. Great job!!
