    I like the first layout with the bbvackground fabric as borders in between the blocks.

    I like the first one. I also like the border fabric you are planning to use. I believe your mom will love it no matter how you decide to make it. It is lovely.

    Well ya'll, I sat and I thought and I thought and I sat. Knowing my mother, she won't be totally happy with either way. I figured she would fuss less if I at least kept the black and purples close to each other. She's going to fuss bad enough when she sees the peiced back. :?
