My Mom "commissioned" me to make a Red Hat quilt for a relative as a gift last year before I got sick again. (commissioned, lol she gave me $60 to make her 2 quilts!!)

What do ya'll think of this?

ETA--3rd pic is an alternative layout. I think I can pull the center panels out with little effort.

You work cheap! But I would also do it for my mother at any price. Precious times that we can do for them.

Love it!! Red Hat fabric is hard to comeby these days. Got lucky and scored this one pretty cheap on ebay.

I like the first layout with the bbvackground fabric as borders in between the blocks.

I like the first one. I also like the border fabric you are planning to use. I believe your mom will love it no matter how you decide to make it. It is lovely.

Well ya'll, I sat and I thought and I thought and I sat. Knowing my mother, she won't be totally happy with either way. I figured she would fuss less if I at least kept the black and purples close to each other. She's going to fuss bad enough when she sees the peiced back. :?
