    Red Riding Hood

This is just a fun little project from a few years ago. Really scrappy.

I know what I thought I was making when I started this quilt, but it has changed several times since then.

Love those Red Riding Hood panels! Do you mind sharing where you found them? When my daughter was about 13 she danced the part of Red Riding Hood in the Sleeping Beauty ballet, with Ballet Mississippi. It was my favorite role she ever danced. I was the costume mistress for the ballet at that time, and made her costume, as well as those of the cats. Happy memories!

I made this quilt a few years ago, so doubt if the same blocks are available, but I believe I purchased them from this Etsy store. https://www.etsy.com/shop/KatyDidsFabrics

If you happen to run across a source for these panels, would you Please let me know? I have my Gramma’s Red Riding Hood McCoy cookie jar, and a framed calendar print of RRH that hung in my Gram’s kitchen-dated 1918. I would Love to make a wall hanging with vintage prints.......likewise, I will let you know if I run across any!

Yes, I would be happy to. Surely this is a classic theme and will be reprinted at some time.

Finally! I found the actual seller of the fabric blocks I used to make this quilt. Caroline's Handmades. She is still active on ebay and facebook. Her etsy site says she will consider custom orders, so even though this particular red riding hood fabric block is not offered for sale anymore, it wouldn't hurt to ask. https://www.etsy.com/shop/candy4me
