Gorgeous quilt! I am so glad you were able to rescue it and finish it up. I love old quilts. I don't think I could have been a good enough friend to give it away. I hope your friend know how lucky she is.

Thank you very much for your very nice comments. I am sure I will have more than my fair share of UFO's, and it is nice to think that someone else might like it well enough to complete it. When I find a treasure like this, I always wish I knew the history that went with it.

She is the best friend I could ever have, and we are so blessed to have her and her husband in our lives. Her name is Scooter, and she and I have said many times that everyone needs a good friend in their life, but unfortunately many people never experience that special friendship with someone. To me a special friendship has to be worked at just like a good marriage. It doesn't just happen.

WOW...must have been well cared for to withstand 112 years and still look so good. You have a treasure there. Love the redwork too.
