Default Regatta

Here is my latest quilt finish that I named Regatta. I'm going to enter it in the State Fair of Virginia this Fall.

I was going to have one of the sailboats sinking, but I couldn't figure out how. I gave up after five failed attempts. The background was quilted in a "waves" shape, and the backing is sharks fabric. No one better fall off one of those sailboats. Under the water is dangerous!

What a striking quilt! I love the beautiful colours in the sails and the fact that everything means something and is related to your theme, from the piecing to the quilting to the backing! Good luck!
