WOW!!!! if that is the quilt that was rescued. I think it is just gorgeous, and what an outstanding job of quilting. I love how you detailed every spot on the red and greens and then all of the intricate detailing in between. You did a beautiful job of quilting. Wish you lived nearby I need some things long arm quilted. Gerbie

I agree with Pal this is a museum piece!! I have to add that if the client wanted it hand quilted she would have taken it to a hand quilter. There is a time for everything and I think that quilt was waiting for 2010 and for you to show your artistic talent and let the quilt show itself and really "Strut it's stuff". I think hand quilting is beautiful and love it too but this quilt called for LAQ and was just waiting for the right time and right person do do the job. I am sure the owner 's jaws will absolutely drop when they see it. Absolutely fabulous!! I have taken a third look at this and it is just beautiful. What more can be said than it is a "Quilt in time" and will be a treasure for years to come. If the client isn't happy with this send it to me, nothing would please them anyway, if this work of art doesn't fit the bill.

WOW that is a beautiful job of quilting. And a beautiful quilt! As for hand or machine quilting an antique quilt the owner should be the one to decide. If our grandmothers thought there was only one way to piece and quilt they wouldn't have machine pieced when sewing machines were available. So, it is a very personal decision.
