I created this for a friend who is retiring. They love brights, stars, flowers and her favorite color is purple. The sashing is truly purple even tho it appears a bit blue in the photos. Hope they like it. Thought I would quilt with a tan or lighter thread and not sure of binding. Suggestions welcome. Thanks for looking (smile).

Beautiful quilt. I love the colors you used.....I would use purple to bind, but that's just because it's my favorite color :)

Beautiful colors (I saw that I have some of the same fabrics) what a wonderful gift - I think she will be pleased. As for the thread color - I usually hold up the threads that I have against the quilt to see if it will blend or not. Good luck.

Awesome quilt. Your friend will love it forever.
I think the purple would make a nice binding.
