My DD wanted a big block quilt for DGS with only plain colors. I made 12" finished blocks. I thought it was really a boring quilt but now that it is finished I kind of like it. I made a scrappy back and used 2.5" X 12" pieces of colors for the binding. All of it was done by machine, including attaching the binding to the back and bringing it to the front and stitching.

    Thanks for looking

It may have been a bit boring to make but it doesn't look boring at all! Very nice. The simple grid compliments the squares wonderfully well.

Thanks for all the compliments. He'll get it for his 4th birthday in a couple of weeks. He saw the top and said it was "cool" so that was what really mattered. DD was going to buy one for $65 from Target. This was all stash so I told her she could pay me the price. She laughed.

Your big block quilt reminds me of simpler times...very comforting! (I also love your picture of the "bra" quilt....how about telling us the history behind that one!)

My sis always said she never was "endowed" so I made her the quilt for her 50th birthday. I told her that now she had big boobs like she always wanted.

    That pattern came from http://www.winnowing.com/patterns.html
