    When you put your own twist on patterns, they become even more special. I am not familiar with Bonnie Hunter's quilt, but I seriously doubt that it is prettier than yours.

    Yes the back was a striped sheet, I cut it like the Missouri Star quartered square triangle. basically 4 strips wof (I think I did 10 inches b/c it worked for the size of the fabric), cut the 4 layered strips into squares (so for this 10 inches) then cut each diagonal and sew each stack of 90 degree triangles back into squares. Half your squares will be concentric stripes and half will be the other shape. Arrange them in "checker board" layout and violla.
