Hi, I personally do not like roosters, but one of my closest friends loves them! She kept saying, "Did you ever see a rooster quilt?" and i would say, "Not yet..." Well I came across this fabric panel and though I typically do not use a cheater quilt fabric, I decided to surprise her. The red border has black chicken wire printed on it.. She just loved it and that's all that matters!

Great fabric, I think it was a great idea for a quilt especially since there aren't that many rooster quilt patterns (nice ones anyway) out there.

what a pal you are. when your friend needs roosters you do roosters, right. i don't really like chickens either but this came out really nice.

It's not 'cheating' when you use an available resource to make a friend happy. That's friendship!

The coolest part can't be seen in this photo. I sent it to a long arm quilter friend of mine, because I had a muscle spasm in my hip and did not want to sit down and do FMQ. The quilting design is big 10/12 inch roosters!!! how cool is that?? The reverse side is dark and doesn't really show off that quilting design or I would have photographed it!
Thanks for all the nice words....and you're right...it's easy to make a quilt for a friend in colors you love and a design that makes you smile!! Working with roosters when you are afraid of them...not so easy.. it definitely was a work of love!
