    "Ruby Wine" is done!!

with help from the QB regarding the layout, my Father-in-laws quilt was done on time for his 89th birthday. I'm calling it Ruby Wine because the binding I bought happened to be two different colours - not that you can notice it - one was marked wine and the other was marked ruby - both looked red to me! Any ways...Ruby happens to be my FIL 2nd wife and mother of my husband - she passed away 18+ years ago and this quilt will be a good reminder of the life they shared together (I hope) ... oh, it's RED?! LOL- in the "questions on layout" thread I totally thought it was beige/tan tones (which were also very nice!) Goes to show how monitors can skew the look of colors.
    Perfect name, and nicely finished!

Actually it's that "old" red and off white - kind of a cream background - but burgundy, rust, red and wine all come to mind when viewed up close

I'm pretty sure Kitty left a bit of fur behind - even after it was washed. I don't know why cats think they have to sit on something that you're working on! He was a right monster when we were working on the binding
