Rosy, I love the owl! I did one oh so many years ago and had it custom-framed by my late brother-in-law. I still have it and it looks good!

OH, I have that owl. Mine is framed and hangs in my bedroom. Was a fun project to do.

Oh, it;s so nice to hear that you all know my owl lol..I thought he was beautiful when I first saw the kit. I haven't seen a good one since lol. I bought the horse around the same time. I also found a beautiful Japanese kit called. Tea House in my rummaging. I noticed that my stitches got a lot neater but I have only done one water lily on that kit. I will be working on it soon....

These would make magnificent centre pieces for art quilts as well!

The owl is beautiful and the horse will be! I used to do crewel until I had everyone's walls full of pictures and then moved on to some new craft! Now it is quilting! Please check about the crewel put into a quilt----not sure the washing would be the same as for cotton, but if you are making just a wall hanging & it won't be washed often, it could work. Great work!

Talented and loaded with patience!
Will make great wall hangings...at least that's what I would do.

Just reminded me of the petite point work that I was given by friends from Romania. (What instructions there are are in Romanian! :P But it's otherwise 'color coded' so no problem. I guess I should get back to it during my non-quilting time...(ahhhh....what's that?).
