As promised, I went to JoAnn's today for their President's Day sale. I went so very under budget, enough to go to a different store to get 2 more yards of fabric. I had enough to get fabric for not just one son's D9P, or two D9P, but all three sons at home will be getting a D9P!! I LOVE sales like this one. I spent all my time feeling out the fabric and making sure I was under bright lights. The reds were still difficult for me to find one, but a clerk and my friend were really helpful to find a red....and it's the same red in two of the D9P's. I have the same yellow in all 3, which I think is really cool. They will all end up with 3 D9P's with matching coordinating fabrics.

So...for 50.00 worth of gift cards I got 17 yards of fabric, 3 spools of machine quilting thread in red, white and blue (yes it means another new plunge for me) and a new cutter because mine keeps growing legs and walking off. Well, with small kids in the house, I keep putting it away in a different place and forgetting where I put it up at! It's safe from me and the kids!!!

The fabrics for D9P #1: Thomas the Train as well as Thomas and his 2 coordinating fabrics red and yellow

Don'tcha just love Joann's LOL

I hit the same sale . . . I don't think I got quite as much fabric, maybe only 12 yards or so, and some sewing patterns, and a thread organizer, and some graph paper . . . o, I dunno, I had a list and I got everything on my list !

What a great deal! I just posted under pittsburgpam's post 'playing around with D9P' Check out that post. I love picking out fabrics- one of my favorite parts of quilting. Wish I'd been with you. My fabrics cost a lot more. I'm doing D9P quilts for wedding gifts. Looking forward to seeing your finished quilts.
