I used what I had. And then I ran out and was nowhere near finished! So I purchased a blue/tan fabric line by Pam Buda called Mrs. Miller's Apprentice.

They are 4" finished. In retrospect, I should have probably made it easier on myself an made them a little bigger! Live and learn, I do like the effect, though.

I made them slightly larger, then trimmed each to size/squared up using the bloc loc ruler. After that, they fit together pretty well.

Well, your quilt should be a commercial for the Bloc Loc Ruler. But I know, that's only half the story. You must be a very exacting and careful quilter. It's a wonderful quilt that your son will always treasure.
