Your post made me chuckle. We do have to laugh at our flubs!! Poor Santa. But you rescued him from misery and spread some cheer with your creative plan B.
I think your solution to the visual problems of the original table runner worked out very nicely. I really like what you did with the 'salvaged' pieces.
